seseorang itu layak direkrut sebagai anggota Al-Qassam

Selain dari seorang Muslim yang baik, berakhlak, mampu menjaga kerahsiaan dan kewaspadaan ( sir & hazar ) dan berdisiplin tinggi, pimpinan Hamas meletakkan beberapa criteria khusus untuk seseorang itu layak direkrut sebagai anggota Al-Qassam. Antaranya adalah seperti berikut :
1) Mendapatkan keizinan dari ibu bapa – ini tidak rumit kerana rata-rata ibu bapa di Palestin inginkan anak mereka syahid.
2) Mendapatkan keizinan dari ketua masjid di tempat tinggalnya yang mengesahkan bahawa : selama 3 bulan berturut-turut pemuda ini tidak meninggalkan solat Subuh berjama’ah di masjid.

3) Anggota Hamas dan Al-Qassam bukan sahaja tidak bermaksiat, menghisap rokok pun tidak.
4) Setiap anggota wajib mempelajari Tafsir Al-Qur’an.
5) Setiap anggota wajib membaca Al-Qur’an sehari satu juz’.
6) Setiap anggota wajib menghafaz 40 Hadith Arba’in ( Imam Nawawi ).
7) Melazimi puasa sunat dan bertahajud.
8) Kecerdasan yang tinggi – buktinya anggota mereka yang banyak melakukan akis bom syahid semuanya golongan hafaz Al-Qur’an, ilmuwan dan intelektual Palestin.
9) Melazimi hadir di majlis-majlis pengajian dan halaqah ilmu.
10) Melazimi zikir harian.
11) Melazimi olahraga atau beriadhah.
12) Anggota Al-Qassam adalah mereka yang sudah siap untuk syahid bila-bila dan dimana sahaja tempat yang akan ditugaskan.
